*The 8th grade Lady Lions travelled to Lee yesterday and swept the Wildcats in 2 sets with the scores 25-19 and 25-12. The team played fantastic and playing one of their best games to date. Annika Miller lead all hitters with 12 kills, 6 aces and 4 digs. Bella Mousakheel set the ball ip for 15 assists, 1 ace and 1 kill. Natalie Ackerman chipped in 4 kills and 1 ace. Olivia Gil has 2 kills and 1 ace of her own. Next week is the last week for Douglass volleyball. They play CA Jacobs on the road Tuesday. 
*Congrats to Ms. Tillinghast's 1st period class - you sold the most items in our Fall Fundraiser, donuts are coming your way on Friday!  Mrs. Flaming and Mr. Richmond's classes tied in a very close second place! Thanks to all who helped our school with our fundraiser. 
Another congrats to Mrs. Edsall's 1st period class - you had the highest percentage of participation in our spirit week and donuts will be coming your way as well.  Close runner up classes were Mrs. Baker, Ms. Bernard and Mrs. QC - keep showing your spirit - there will be another opportunity to win at the end of the month with Red Ribbon Week!

*Attention students:  Club Lion will be next week on Friday, Oct. 18th.  Please look at your GPA   on your progress report that you received.  If you earned a 2.5 GPA or better come, get your sticker next Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch so you can join the Club Lion celebration and get a treat.
* Friday Night Live is a fun-filled mentoring program that pairs up Douglass students with Pioneer high students to have fun and learn about a wide variety of topics.  The program begins on Tuesday October 15th, so applications are due as soon as possible to Ms. Pitfield in room B-11.  If you do not have an application or would like more info, see Ms. Pitfield in Room B-11.
